Hello! Welcome to my website! I am a 4th year PhD student in Duke’s Nicholas School of the Environment. My research areas include Sustainable Development, Evidence-based Policymaking, Sustainable Supply Chains, Payment for Ecosystem Services, and Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining (ASGM). The unifying interest that ties several disparate lines of research together is the question of how improved research-implementation systems can stimulate the creation of prosperous, sustainable landscapes in the Global South. Specifically, I am interested in how programs can develop incentives and support that enable people at the rural frontier to make higher incomes while adopting land uses that are more environmentally-friendly.
